An op-ed (opposite the editorial page) is a short, 400–800 word essay written by a non-staff contributor that expresses a strong opinion on a current issue to persuade, influence, or inform public opinion. It differs from an editorial, which represents a publication’s collective voice. Please refer to above guidelines before submitting.
